Sweet. What does it do?
it just sits there and looks cool
Is there an ideology you believe in? If so, destroy every single trace of evidence that could indicate your belief in it. Get rid of every book, article, browser bookmark, T-shirt, whatever that you have that would show that you believe it. If anyone who knows your IRL identity also knows that you believe this thing, act as if you've disowned this ideology, and do it for 6 months minimum prior to your attack, even longer if it's particularly disliked. You want to avoid discrediting this belief.
Likewise, if there's an ideology that you don't believe and would like to discredit, create a paper trail that would lead to people thinking you actually believe it. Download PDFs related to the subject and save them somewhere that's easy to find, buy some clothes with related slogans and symbols, maybe put a bumper sticker or two on your car. If people know your IRL identity, start being as vocal as you possibly can about your so-called belief, and of course you want to do this for at least 6 months. Perform your attack on a place that this ideology would be against. If you're wanting to discredit opponents to a certain religion, for instance, attack a church/mosque/etc. where members of this religion would meet.
Don't be afraid to use bombs, fire, and similar weapons. A death toll is a death toll, and the higher it is, the more of an emotional impact your attack will have; this is important if you're trying to discredit something. As a bonus, if you can avoid using guns entirely, you'll give less or no ammo to gun-control goons.
tl;dr outglow the glows
double cowardice speaks. PR-thought is dumb thought. Just manslaughter in the name of what you believe. We could do with more factions.
Politics is stupid. It's way scarier if you do it because "the voices" told you
