This board was born from 8ch /eris/, only after did admindude discover that there used to be a Polish imageboard called erischan and we kept getting them visiting. That's also why we have /3/.

The rules are more like guidelines. There were a couple of absolute braincases who would just spam /aes/ or /abs/ with train-of-thought nonsense, making new threads for each post, etc.
If the board were faster then we could be less strict about garbage posts and putting things in the wrong bucket.
