wow, that seems overly harsh. i can understand that some people dislike the cyberpunk aesthetic, but when i've visited those chans i barely notice the lain content, aside from the fact that she serves to be a meta-board tan. most of what i have found there are extremely high quality effort posts. granted, the moderation can be heavy handed (no shit posting allowed) but, overall, there seems to be a great group of hackers, programmers, pirates, and overall deep counter-cultural thinkers assembled there. a great resource of somewhat obscure knowledge. did you get ban hammered from there for making fart jokes or something, anon?

But at least Lainchan is tolerable (outside of the aforementioned falseflagging meant to push the site further left), meanwhile Arisuchan is loaded to the brim with unironic trannies and Breadtube-dickriding pseuds. Expect to see the phrase "late capitalism" mentioned in some way or form in every single thread. if /pol/ had half a brain they'd have co-opted that fucking phrase and turned it into an antisemitic dogwhistle by now, discouraging its use

this isn't /gov/, but uncontrolled capitalism is a major problem for culture and consumers. Nationalization of important industries, monopolies and oligopolies is preferable so cohesion can be maintained.

Which I do… not hide, so much as just scroll wheel the mouse thinking, "meh, whatever…" I've rarely had my political compass moved one way or another by imageboard discussion tbh. I've seen and read into some interesting propaganda ops, but I find them interesting for reasons other then any inherent political value. Just sociological voyeurism, I guess.

I think I have a reflexive semiotic wordfilter in my head at this point, that when I hear the phrase "late capitalism", I don't even think of it in left/right terms anymore, but just muse upon the overall technocratic weirdness that is the digital world which we find ourselves embedded in… like, left/right binaries are so tiresome to me and I just filter talk of "late capitalism" into non-ideological concepts of cybernetics and information theory.
