I believe there exists a fine line dividing theology from dogma. Never underestimate some good katma though. 
Eris is indeed the Mother of Many Things, the Gross Manifestation of the Non-existant Chao. 
But I have found that she has as many names as there are stars,and  she has as many children as there are ways to die. I doubt all titles could be listed, as much as I doubt that those children are all known. How do we suppose Eris stopped having children?

Discordians have always existed. Or Discordians have existed for a long time? It was Heraclitus and Malcalypse the Elder who founded the seeds of our sects. Just as Hung Mung brought Discordianism to all the orient. They were the first proper enemies of the Greyface and the Illuminati.
 
It was just an oral tradition in those days, of course, and many centuries thereafter. The problem with proof is that our forebears were clever when hiding from their enemies. The real reason a temple to Eris has never been "found" is because they are disguised as bars, theatres, whorehouses, dope houses, parliaments, battlefields, and universities. Just to name a few.

I don't remember if I replied already, but Eris isn't static. She might've once had children with names, she might've long ago been a cartoon character or some hippie joke, but those are just labels. Those are signposts leading you to Her, but she is not any of them.
