Maybe a bit off topic for the purposes of this thread, but after reading all this I was reminded of the following…
It would be funny if there was some religious sect or dissident group that gave all their children the same legal names for the sole purpose of fucking with people who come around with clipboards and start asking questions. Imagine the poor census taker who returns to their home office, already on thin ice after turning in a stack of paperwork filled with nothing but George Foremans, to hand in yet another stack of paperwork consisting of nothing but John and Jane Does. The John and Jane Doe conscientious objectors could of course have their own nick names that they use in private, but the reverse aliases would always be used in a formal/legal context. Maybe this has already been attempted? Maybe that's what some Muslims are up to with all those Muhammads? There is that thread for that Fenderson clan and I'd ask what is going on in there, but, not being a Fenderson myself, I'm afraid to post there and start asking questions for fear of being seen as a dirty clipboard holding data miner and told to go back. At the end of the day, I just want to see governments world wide flail about having to desperately start passing more and more bizarre laws about only allowing one junior per generation per family, provided that each junior have a middle name that differs from that of any senior in the previous three generations, except in such cases that any previous senior has passed on or legally changed their name, etc…
